About Us
The Latah Eagle
The LatahEagle started in June of 1998.
The Kendrick Gazette was purchased in August of 1998 and the two papers merged together giving the historic Gazette and the modern Eagle a bit of both worlds. The Eagle enjoys the Gazette's heritage and history and the Gazette receives a wider distribution and a newer look. The Kendrick Gazette was published under the banner of Gazette News for many years when it covered news in the Genesee, Idaho, area. When the owner, Bill Roth, dropped covering news in Genesee he renamed the paper to Kendrick Gazette. Upon purchase of the paper all rights, copyright and privileges to both banners and newspapers, current and previous issues, were transferred to the current owner, J&H Publications, Inc.
The LatahEagle is owned by J&H Publications, Inc. with LJ Nisse as President and CEO. Nisse is also the publisher. The publication is fully protected under all copyright laws.
